Curlew has forward funded this 302-bed development with partners Alumno Group and HG Construction. 

 

A rare opportunity in the city centre, the building was completed in Q1 2021 and will be operational for the 2021/2022 academic year intake.

Brighton

CST 2 have acquired this site following the grant of a detailed planning permission to provide 232 beds over c. 1,700 sq m of ground floor retail accommodation. 

 

Construction is programmed to commence in Nov 2019 with practical completion programmed for the summer 2021. Part of the ground floor retail, accommodation had been pre-let to the Co-op.

 

Curlew Opportunities has managed the design and planning process and will continue to provide development management services to CST 2 throughout the balance of the construction and letting process.

22a Potterrow is a boutique student accommodation building consisting of 52 self contained studio apartments designed by Yeoman McAllister Architects, and developed by Curlew Opportunities.

 

Opening in 2018 this scheme added to the neighbouring 151 bed PBSA asset already held within the CST1 portfolio.

Liverpool

The Lantern, Liverpool

Curlew Opportunities provided development services support to assist in the management of the non-core elements of this large complicated city centre regeneration scheme adjoining Lime Street Station in Liverpool.


The scheme comprises 412 PBSA beds and a105 bed Premier Inn Hotel over some 2,750m of retail accommodation of which c. 90% was pre let to Lidl and Geene King.  The scheme was completed successfully in 2018.

A new direct development by Curlew to provide a 282 cluster bed scheme with a high level of amenity and 160 sq m of gifted community space at the ground floor. 

 

The site is close to Westfield Shopping Centre and the Olympic Park, with excellent railway connectivity and is targeting a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating.

 

Curlew’s development arm, Curlew Opportunities, will be responsible for the construction of the £60million scheme and is expected to complete for the start of the 2023/24 academic year.

Construction work is currently under way on this 185 room scheme, a £60 million forward funded development in partnership with CKC Properties.  Students’ facilities include a gym, cinema, roof lounge and additional social space.

 

The development will be built to BREEAM Excellent standard and will offer landscaped outdoor space for its residents across two private gardens and a roof terrace overlooking the square.  Occupying a prime Zone 2 location, Bermondsey tube station is less than 500 metres away and London Bridge station is within a short walk.

Harlequin Centre, Exeter

Curlew’s plans for a new development of co-living homes and an hotel have been approved by Exeter City Council. 

 

The scheme will replace the outdated Harlequins Shopping Centre in the heart of the city with two new blocks comprising 251 co-living bedrooms and a 116-room hotel.  The plans also include a ‘pocket park’ and significant improvements to the urban environment for pedestrians and cyclists.
